미주리주 캔자스시티에서 열린 캔자스시티 치프스 슈퍼볼 우승 퍼레이드에서 총격 사건이 발생해 1명이 숨지고 20여 명 이상이 부상을 입었다.
14일 AP통신에 따르면 현지 당국은 캔자스시티 유니언 역에서 총기 사고가 발생해 1명이 숨지고 22명이 부상을 입었다고 밝혔다. 부상자 중에는 어린이 8명도 포함돼 있다.

이날 퍼레이드는 미국프로풋볼(NFL) 캔자스시티 치프스팀의 슈퍼볼 우승을 기념해 열린 것으로 트래비스 켈시, 쿼터백 패트릭 마홈스 등 우승 주역들과 100만 명에 육박하는 수많은 팬들이 참가했다.
퍼레이드가 끝나갈 무렵 발생한 총격 사건으로 인해 현장은 순식간에 아수라장이 됐다.
캔자스시티 경찰은 용의자 3명을 체포해 범행 동기 등을 조사하고 있다.
