Princeton University was selected as the best university in the United States in 2025.
According to the 2025 National University Evaluation conducted by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the 4th (local time), Princeton University received 92.3 points, ranking first for the second consecutive year.
This evaluation was evaluated on a scale of 100 based on ▲graduation rate ▲graduate salary ▲diversity ▲career support ▲quality of classes ▲learning facilities ▲learning opportunities ▲alumni network, etc. University reputation and financial status were not measured.
Babson College ranked second with 91.9 points, and Stanford University ranked third with 91.6 points.
Princeton University, which was selected as first place, received high scores in most evaluation categories. The graduation rate was the highest among all universities ranked, and the career support category also received good evaluations due to its close connection with an excellent alumni network.
Babson College in second place and Stanford University in third place, as well as schools with strong technology or business programs, also received good scores.
In particular, it is noteworthy that two public universities were included in the top 10 this year. UC Berkeley in California ranked 8th and Georgia Institute of Technology in Georgia ranked 9th, making it into the top 10. Last year, there were no public universities in the top 10.
Yale University (89.3 points) ranked 4th and Claremont McKenna College (89.2 points) ranked 5th. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, 87.4 points) ranked 6th, Harvard University (86.2 points) ranked 7th, and Davidson College (85.6 points) ranked 10th.
