아이슬란드 남서부 그린다비크 인근에서 한 달 만에 다시 화산이 폭발했다.
14일(현지시간) AP통신에 따르면 아이슬란드 기상 당국은 화산 폭발로 분출된 용암이 마을 북쪽까지 500m를 흘러 내렸다고 밝혔다. 마을 주민들은 화산 폭발 전 대피해 인명 피해는 없는 것으로 알려졌다.

이곳은 지난해 12월 18일에도 화산 폭발이 있었다.
북대서양의 화산 지대에 위치한 아이슬란드에서는 평균 4~5년 마다 화산 폭발이 발생한다. 지난 2010년에는 에이야프얄라요쿨 화산이 폭발해 유럽 하늘이 화산재로 뒤덮였다. 2021년에는 파그라달스피아 화산이 폭발한 바 있다.
